Tourist practice
Jety and I did a little practising in “how to behave as a typical tourist” today. We started in our own city to be well prepared for our New York Trip in a few days.
After that we did a little film shopping: Ektar100 of course and different Porta rolls some Velvia 50 (thanks to Matt for the hint) and of course some Polaroid films.
[for all Polaroid interested people from Munich who don’t already know, there is this very small and hidden photostore /Foto Barchmann, Marienplatz 26/ right in the centere of munich. Don’t be afraid to take the dark steps downstairs, it’s not an oldfashioned sexshop, it’s one of Munichs last places where you can get as much as you want, and different types, of instant film. So all there is is filmporn.]
What you can see in this picture is Jety and me in front of Munichs city hall. I think we did a great job in “being tourists” and with all those rolls of film [and maybe my Super8 Camera will be involved as well] we are ready to hit NYC.
funny broad faces; thats what you get when shooting from beneath.
In the end there is always a hot dog.
No matter if you walk hours around next to those screamy children with their stressed parents, looking for the right bed/kitchen/chair, and finally make your way through the high hall of storage racks or if you drive 670 kilometres on the lonely, slowly and never-ending highway to spend some days in the rainy woods with wet shoes and a bag full of cameras, in the end of all those exhausting pleasures: there is always a hot dog.
that is just the way they do it, in Sweden.
Stockholm.
urbanoutfitters
Edit: A funny coincidence:
Polapremium just announced this via Twitter:
“Urban Outfitters has partnered with The Impossible Project to support their mission to restart and reinvent instant film photography!!”
“starting 8/21 Urban Outfitters will be selling 700 limited edition polaroid ONE600 cameras + 779 film (US & London stores) & on-line 8/28”
A fact I didn’t know as I uploaded this photo. Let’s call it film fate.
